Hello friends,
Happy Holi to all my friends and Family. I hope you are enjoying this colourful festival…
I am writing my first blog on this special occasion. Very excited to connect with my audience at this festival.
We all Indians have grown up celebrating this colourful festival with much excitement, it may not be celebrated as it use to be 15 years back. we used to plan for Holi
much in advance, which colours we will get, with whom we will celebrate, where we will play Holi, what sweets and snacks we will have.. everything we use to plan. I still remember we use to pull out all our friends who used to hide in a room scared of colours and water.. but we use to pull them out and play Holi with them .. it took 2-3 days to remove colours from our skin.. nice old days.
Nowadays it is still celebrated but in a more sophisticated manner.. only dry colours, organic colours, very few snacks, low cal food, very minimal sweets or sugar-free snacks etc…
Things are changing may be for the betterment… We should also change with time.
But still, I feel we must celebrate all our festivals with full excitement and teach our tradition to our children otherwise very soon all these festivals and celebrations will become history, we will just tell stories to our children or grandchildren that we use to have such kind of celebrations.
So I request all of you, however busy you might be, please take out time to be with your family and friends and celebrate our Indian festivals. Prepare some traditional homemade sweets and have Pooja at home, let our next generation also know the importance of these festivals.
